As the senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Willis Private Client Group, Joe is responsible for ensuring crisp, consistent execution of new business, expansion and retention efforts in North America.

He provides strategic leadership for a staff of thirty professionals who manage more than 7,000 high net worth and affluent clients. Joe and his team have extensive experience working with C-Level executives, family offices, athletes, entertainers and successful professionals. The average experience of his team members is 19 years. Their ability to maintain a 97% retention rate is a testament to the team’s commitment to serve their private clients’ needs with a unique blend of excellence, integrity and absolute discretion.

 

He came to Willis in 2007, bringing over 20 years of leadership, insurance, risk management and financial management experience. Previously, Joe was a risk consultant and agency manager for one of the country’s top performing Nationwide Agencies for nine years. During his time at Nationwide, he was responsible for all wealth management accounts held by the firm and he oversaw the management of 3,000 property and casualty accounts. He has more than 11 years of experience as a financial consultant both with New York Life and Nationwide Financial Services.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy for two years of active duty (assigned to USS Tarawa – Aircraft Carrier) and six years of reserve duty, receiving numerous awards that included Letters of Commendation for outstanding performance and Meritorious Service Awards. He studied risk management and insurance at Penn State, and Temple University under H. Wayne Snider, who is considered the father of modern risk management.
