The LaTanya Simmons Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award

The Private Risk Management Association (PRMA) LaTanya Simmons Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award was first introduced in 2022. This award aligns with DEI Team Co-Chair and PRMA Board Member, LaTanya Simmons vision of the industry when she began the conversation in 2020:

“I strongly believe in the risk management industry’s ability to affect positive change in ALL people’s lives and our hope is that through the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team’s work that we would emerge with a sense of actionable purpose to be better, stronger and most importantly to stand together.”

Purpose:

This award recognizes a diversity, equity & inclusion initiative introduced within the last eighteen months by any organization operating in the high-net-worth insurance and risk management segment.

The organization who is this recipient of this award will be recognized at the 2025 PRMA Annual Summit being held October 19 – 21 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Appropriate Organizations:

The organization receiving this award should:

    • Be specific to a high-net-worth organization, not a corporate parent
    • Have introduced initiatives over the last two years that foster a more diverse talent pool, enhance inclusive work environments, drive supplier diversity
    • Improve customer outreach or any other initiative aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the high-net-worth personal insurance industry

How to Nominate:

Complete the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Form and answer as fully and completely as possible. Please note, an organization can nominate themselves.

Where appropriate please provide specific examples of how the organization demonstrates the criteria listed above.
