Kurt Thoennessen is vice president of Gallagher and has over 14 years of experience as a Personal Risk Advisor.
Mr. Thoennessen is also the founder and CEO of RiskRevu. RiskRevu transforms agency processes into digital forms to help insurance agents collect the data they need to sell and service insurance.
Kurt writes the personal risk management column for IRMI.com as well.
As a founding member of the Private Risk Management Association, Mr. Thoennesse leads its NYC Chapter committees. He is also the founder of the High Net Worth Property and Casualty Insurance Advisors group on Linkedin that has over 1,300 members.
Mr. Thoennessen has been quoted in or written/filmed content for national periodicals including Daily Fintech, Insurance Nerds, InsureTech Hartford, Risk & Insurance, MarketWatch, CNN Money, Best’s Review, Moneymagazine, and Car Collector magazine on insurance topics related to high-value homes, automobiles, and personal liability. He has also written several articles on various insurance topics for Worth magazine, and maintains a high net worth insurance focused blog on InsureScope.com.
He was named one of Risk & Insurance Magazine’s Power Brokers for 2016 in the Private Client category and was awarded the JoAnn Heltibridle Award for Professional Excellence in 2015 by the Private Risk Management Association at its annual summit.
Mr. Thoennessen has a bachelor’s degree in management and business from Boston University and earned the Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) designation from Wharton’s Aresty School of Executive Education. He is highly involved in his community and has coached soccer for his three daughters.
