Peter A. DiGiovanni

Peter started his insurance profession in 2007 when he joined AIG originally as part of their Private Client Group’s first risk management professional associate program.  Throughout his career, Peter has evaluated thousands of luxury residential properties, prepared evacuation consultations for coastal and hurricane prone locations, and provides sound replacement cost analysis through his vast residential construction knowledge.

Originally from White Plains, NY, before entering the insurance business, Peter was a real estate appraiser in New York City and the surrounding tri-state area.  Peter also has previous technical knowledge of firefighting equipment and fire science, having worked with a German-based fire and emergency apparatus manufacturer.

Peter is also a Level I and Building Investigations Certified Thermographer (ID#49748).  He pioneered the Smart Build program in 2013, which offers complimentary pre-construction consulting services focusing on risk management and loss prevention solutions during the planning phase of residential projects.  Peter was also an AIG Hurricane Protection Unit post-event response field volunteer from 2008-2023 and is currently a certified FORTIFIED Home™ Evaluator.  Peter has been living in Palm Beach Gardens, FL since 2006.
