Emily is an insurance industry executive widely recognized for her expertise in Cyber Liability and related coverages. Her ability to devise and lead strategies and initiatives has resulted in significant growth for the companies she has worked for. Emily is known for being an advisor on complex Cyber exposures, as well as a creator of unique and creative risk solutions and responsive processes. Her intellectual curiosity, conflict resolution skills, and persistent optimism have helped her overcome challenges and achieve outstanding results. She is a skilled manager, with experience in managing a team and mentoring new hires. In 2023, Emily was named one of the Powerhouse Women of Cyber Insurance by the Cyber Insurance Institute. 

In her current role at Baldwin Risk Partners as Director of Strategy for the Cyber Center of Excellence, Emily oversees and develops Cyber Liability initiatives, creates thought leadership content, guides product direction and coordination, and trains and develops talent. Her experience and expertise in cyber risk have led to the creation of a suite of risk mitigation offerings and insurance products that are recognized as best-in-class in the industry. Her innovation can be found in the small business initiative, claims management, and risk mitigation services all designed to be proactive against the nebulous nature of cyber risk. 

Emily’s related experience includes serving as Senior Vice President, Cyber at NFP Corp., where she specialized in Cyber Risk for Financial Institutions, produced strategies for complex and SME insurance placements in a hard market with a focus on specialized underwriting processes, supported sales teams as a subject matter expert for current clients and prospects, and managed tools and resources to educate insureds on cyber, including claims simulations, proactive and preventative resources, and education of risk evolution. 

Prior to this, she was Director of Cyber Liability at M3 Insurance Solutions, Inc., where she established a strategy for a newly formed practice group surrounding placement process and industry-specific resources. She designed industry-specific Cyber Liability programs with carrier partners, trained and presented to clients, colleagues, and at industry events, developed service-oriented processes for managing claims and vendor relationships, and advised dedicated staff during the placement process, including market strategy, coverage details, benchmarking, and limits advisory. 

Emily also served as Senior Vice President, Cyber Liability Practice Leader at HUB International, where she created a Cyber Liability practice for the Central and West Regions, managed a team of Cyber Liability specialist brokers, overseeing internal education and market relations, and grew the book of business by 900% during her tenure. She also formed a small business initiative with key carriers to simplify the quoting and binding process for accounts under $100MM in revenue and initiated agreement on amendatory and standard endorsements and coverages with key market relationships. 

Emily’s expertise has been featured in several publications, including “Online Defamation Liability” in Risk and Insurance, “Cannabis Growers and Distributors: Your Cyber Risk is Growing Like Weeds” in Cannabis Industry Journal, “W-2 Cyber Phishing is in Season: 9 Best Practices to Halt W-2 Fraud for your Business” in Security World, and “Build a Foundation of Cyber Coverage: Using a Tailored Program to Prevent the Fallout of a Cyber Attack” in the Daily Reporter. 

Emily is a sought-after speaker and has presented at numerous professional events, including Chicagoland RIMS, America’s Claims Event, Wisconsin Association of Financial Professionals, Oklahoma Health and Safety Conference, The Retirement Advisory Council, The Entrepreneurship Institute, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Midwest Food Products Association. 

Emily holds a Cyber COPE Insurance Certification from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from North Central College. She is a licensed Illinois Property and Casualty Producer. Emily’s passion for the arts is evident in her role as the director of an award-winning competitive show choir, showcasing her dedication and creativity beyond the insurance industry. She is based in Chicago, Illinois.
